Music and Lyrics by STEPHEN SONDHEIM
Originally Produced and Directed on Broadway by Harold Prince

Musical Direction by Michelle Allen McIntire

The Barn Players are excited to announce our return to live in-person theatre in September, with a production of the landmark, Tony Award winning Stephen Sondheim/George Furth musical COMPANY.

The production, directed by Eric Magnus with musical direction by Michelle Allen McIntire, will announce auditions soon, with rehearsals beginning July 25th and performances September 17 - 20 and 23 - 26.

The Barn Players have made the difficult decision to cancel and replace our upcoming production of PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT. The PRISCILLA story includes a character that, as written, can only be played as a racial stereotype, which was created to be the target of a one-song joke. In addition, the script also contains several trans-phobic jokes, that do not play well are inappropriate in our current social climate. The Barn is committed to producing shows that do not reinforce stereotypes, and determined the musical would not be appropriate for our stage.

We are also excited to announce that we have recorded two upcoming events for streaming this summer. A new cabaret performance, THROUGH A WINDOW, starring Delano Mendoza with musical director Kevin Bogan will stream on June 25, 26 & 27 and PRECIOUS HEART, a one-man show written and performed by Greg Smith, streaming August 27, 28 & 29.

Barn Kids will be performing THE LITTLE MERMAID, JR. on July 30, 31 & August 1 in a live in-person performance at Bishop Miege High School. The summer camp will be directed by Denice Trawicki, with choreography by Heather Foose and stage management by Jason Coats.

Other upcoming performances include:

November 12 - 21

Musical Direction by Ashley Jones Rivers

December 3 - 5
